I don’t usually go in for ‘reality t.v.’ but I really enjoy this show. These folks all have to be very industrious and intelligent, and brave, to live like this, so it’s a real learning experience for a ‘city boy' to hear what they have to say and how they go about living and surviving in remote wilderness, complete with a dominant predator(s) dangerous to humans. I caught the free episode and got hooked and ‘snared’ for the rest of this fascinating travelogue into the lives of these interesting people who have lived like this for years or decades.
  • Incredibly Impressive Humans with stories

More raw than script & not another one of those shows about Alaska. These folks and their stories are captivating; then add excellent production and you've got viewers with goosebumps waiting for more. I know reality tv if you want to watch a show that's less scripted and more raw you'll love this. Thank you to the families for inviting us in for a look at your life and thank you for season 2.

Very interesting characters with a great perspective. The setting is unlike any of the other Alaskan reality shows. They are so close to their environment that you can empathize with the joys and hardships of their life.

Love this show but unfortunately since episode 5 I am unable to purchase this in standard definition only in HD. It's a pity I would have been a devoted fan.
