This, along with seasons 4,6, and 7, is the penultimate in X-Filedom. The mytharc peaks during these seasons, the writing becomes more cohesive, and Duchovny and Anderson reach a level of comfort and maturity within their roles not present in earlier seasons. and and with the all-but-exit of Duchovny, seasons 8 and 9 just don't deliver. However, as has been previously mentioned, season 5 was filmed in widescreen (yet another reason for its elevation among the others). I first bought season 6 through itunes, and feel a little cheated that season 5 doesn't have the widescreen.

please put on seasons 7, 8, and 9...those are the great seasons

this TV show is awesome! i love the episodes that involve technology and monsters. sometimes theres a little too much talking and too many episodes about aliens but other than that this show rocks

This season's episode "Foile a deux" may be the best stand-alone (i.e., non-"mythology") episode of the entire series. Had me on the edge of my seat! Very intense!

Way to go iTunes! As a confirmed (but as yet not recovering) X-Files-aholic - this is truly great stuff. A great series - this is but another excellent season - and at an extraordinary price!! Try purchasing this "used" on DVD for this rate. Not going to happen. Who knew? iTunes can walk on water!

This was the first season of "The X-Files" to film in widescreen because by this point, they were filming the movie. It would have been nice if these were the 16:9 episodes found on the DVD

This is a great show and a great season. I would recomend the x-files to anyone. And the price is great! I am so glad that this is avaible on itunes.

This is my favorite of the "later" seasons. A great mix of mythology and wonderful stand alone eps like Detour, PMP and Bad Blood.
