Might be cool if I could understand it. I noticed the scenes constantly jump around and give you whiplash.

The Wandering Earth II is actually a prequel of The Wandering Earth. It is not literally fit with the novel, but the script is not bad. If it is the start of Chinese sci-fi film industry along with the first film I am totally down as we are happy to see the competition of movie quality.
And, four stars because of the quality provided in iTunes is still HD instead of 4K HDR/DV.
An unexpected emotional punch

A CGI heavy film with excellent acting and a thoughtful script. Character development is very well done and the acting is top notch. The film is long, and drags at times, but I never lost interest thanks to the script. With the end of civilization a real possibility, a backup plan is devised using the quantum computers to create a digital world where ones personal code can be transfered in. This part of the plot was my favorite...no spoilers...worth the watch!
