Mad Monster Party

The only time Boris Karloff (William Henry Pratt) ever sang in his life. Next to the rare “Life and adventures of Santa Claus”, this other Rankin Bass movie is fantastic! The soundtrack is also really really good!! If you’re a fan of puppets and/or Universal Monsters, you’ll love this funny, great horror movie.

First they………………………………………………! Then they…………………………………………………! In the end there was a plot twist!

my great grandmother gave me this when i was younger, been watching every halloween. i miss her greatly.

I love this movie I remember this when I was lil and my mom and dad told me to watch this and since then I been hook on it this is a cute movie

By every X-mas movie was made by this animated work now it time now a change up and that mean’s Monster and Thank god Mad Monster Party changed it forever.

This is my favorite Rankin/Bass show. The film was created using Rankin/Bass' "Animagic" stop motion animation process. The characters are so funny and cute! The songs will get stuck in your head. Boris Karloff as the head of the monster organization, his nephew Felix, the monster, the monster's mate, the mummy, the invisivible man, Dracula, Jekyll/Hyde, Wolfman, Francesca and so many more! At the party, the skeleton band is similar to the Beatles. This never seems to get any TV time. Could be because of the mild sexual tones. I highly recommend to any Rankin/Bass fan or any fan of monster movies that would like a comedy version. If it wasn't for a dear friend, i wouldn't have even know this existed since it never gets aired on TV. Among the people who have seen it, it's a cult classic. LOVE IT! So happy it's available on iTunes!
